Volcano Choir is a collaboration between Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Collections of Colonies of Bees. It's more of a concept album than anything else. Not a whole lot of lyrics, but overall it's still a great listening experience.

The Xx - XX (2009 XL Recordings International)

This is probably my favorite new band of 2009. Lo-fi melancholy pop at it's best.
